Dancing Running Steps...
My run today was absolutely glorious...
The weather here is a bit up and down... Always bright and sunny, but yesterday was a chillier 6 or 7 degrees whereas this morning I was running along the beach and it felt like a warm summers day at around 18 degrees, weaving my way between the bathers and bare footed walkers...
Anadi and I hadn't gone to bed til after 1am... Fortunately both of us enjoy a 'total lifestyle', by that I mean we have no set work or play hours and everything happens when it needs to; this can mean we may eat dinner and then carry on working afterwards if we need to get things done...
So this morning was a later start! We sat in a new cafe, in our new area of San Sebastián drinking our cafe con leche and eating our breakfast no 1, tortilla for Anadi, a croissant for me at about 11am...
'I love it that we both work in the same way', I said... As I broke off a bit of the best ever croissant!
For me a 'total lifestyle' has been my way all of my life...
My play time, my running time and my work time all flowing in and out of each other...
And essentially all being the same thing... Me exploring, expressing, connecting with others, and creating on planet earth...
I never have any set times for anything, except the appointments I make with clients , and if I am training twice in a day... A reasonable gap between the two events...
I also have always enjoyed eating my evening meal very late...
When I had my own gym, we didn't finish work until around 9.30/10 and I loved that end of day eating and chatting time...
It is the same now... We went to dinner late last night across the road and it was lovely to talk and eat, having done most of what we needed to get done...
I hadn't quite put my blog together! But it was written and the photos cropped, so essentially everything was finished and it was talking, playing, tinkly 'GnT' time... I have learnt to request 'pequeno gin ' and 'dos tonica'! Spanish 'GnT''s in their true form are something to be experienced...! Not very often by me!
As I ran through the under pass, I ran by the guy who I see standing there each day...
I glanced at him and fleetingly thought that he may attract more money if he did something... Perhaps if he played an instrument or sang, or something.
But then I thought that maybe they are not his talents, so it was only a fleeting thought; I recognised the stretch it would take me to stand and ask for money in the street and decided I would carry some euros tomorrow to give to him anyway...
I ran back along the prom, instead of along the beach - which at nearly midday was full of people...
I did wonder what it must be like in summer months!
As I approached the underpass, I heard music and singing....
And there he was, in full flow.
My standing man was now a singing dancing man; he had come alive and the fabulous, uplifting sound echoed through the tunnel, adding a little bit of a dance to my running steps, and a shimmy to my hips and a click to my fingers...! I look forward even more to bringing some money tomorrow....
I have just glanced at the time, it is 3pm...
Time for breakfast number 2!
