'It Is Our Light Not Our Darkness That Frightens Us...
This morning Anadi and I went for a short run, just four miles... We ran along the front at Ipsos, and we were alone.
The sun was very bright and the sea and sky were very blue... The energy of the Mediterranean resonates for me with my own turquoise blue colour... I am part of the blue, I am the blue, I am the sea and the sky... This is what running early can bring to me.
I love running, being part of it all, merging with everything that is. My blue mingling with nature's blue, nature's blue in me and me in nature, and I feel the freedom in my body, and the healing that is happening within me, as I journey on life's adventure!
And now, I am alone in the taverna at Stefanos place...
Anadi, Pru and I had another chanting session, followed by hands on healing for Pru straight after. I have left Pru relaxing and Anadi is finishing some work... I came here to post Pru's article, and to write to you!
We had lunch again in our 'regular place' where we are now 'regulars', and we all ate the same thing - again!
Our host did murmur something about change, but as Pru said 'why would we change when we know what we like and it is so good'!
Why indeed?
Knowing what we like is important... New experiences can open us to things we might not know that we will like, but there is also within us all, a deep knowing of what our preferences are... And this must be honoured.
Sometimes this didn't happen when we were children, and so we can feel confused about what our preferences are... And we might have gone down routes that are not for us, because others told us we should...
As children all we truly desire is to know that we have permission to be on this planet, permission to shine brightly in our own light; to have our preferences honoured and to feel connected to the people who love us...
But all too often, the people who love us, do not fully love themselves and do not honour their own preferences and are not sure they have permission to be here...
This makes it harder to teach to new ones...
Therefore, as we develop it is important that we give ourselves these things... That we learn to connect to who we truly are, that we explore and discover what our preferences are, and that we know we have permission to be here and to shine our light brightly'
As Marianne Williamson says...
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
There is a fine line between being rigid and afraid of trying new things, and of knowing what is right for us... And it is only us who know the difference...!
Anadi, Pru and I know we love the fresh orange juice and the Greek salad, chicken slouvaki, baked feta and fried zucchini...!
We spent lunch time listening to Pru's and my podcast, and we really enjoyed it!
All three of us were engrossed! :)
Pru and I had such fun making it... And she enjoyed writing her article too... Expressing herself...
Part of our exploration together has been about self expression through joy and fun... Clearing old emotional pain, and freeing up in her voice and throat, so that her powerful beautiful energy can flow freely...
Noticing where we are blocked in our energy is important for us to set ourselves free....
As Marianne Williamson says
'It is our light not our darkness that frightens us...'
This morning Pru and I had a last run to Barbati Beach, where we sat in contemplation and delight of its beauty, the still water stretching out beyond, and the beach all our own...
Our session this afternoon took us back to the harbour at Ispos and in my role as cameraperson I excelled myself!
I did have an amazing subject...
