I Discovered I Am A 'Super Vet...'!
We are driving back from visiting Anadi's Dad, the sky is very beautiful, the longest day is turning into night, the grey sky streaked with golden light....
There hasn't been another moment available today to write; but I trust the blog will write itself as now it has a momentum off its own...
There is a relationship between me and you who read, and so there is no question that I will turn up, because I know you are there, and so each day we meet one another on the page in our never ending conversation ..
A year ago today we were running in Trent park and we saw a 10k taking place... 'We should do that next year' I idly said, having no idea where in the world we would be...
A few weeks ago while we were in Greece, Amy my wonderful PA, emailed me with a link to the Triffic Trail Trent Park run which she had found was taking place while we are in the UK and while we are staying in London....
And so it turns out that my words last year were prophetic ones... Or I simply 'put it out there', and the intention drew us to the race...
I have found this the best way to travel to goals or dreams... To simply put it out there and then let it draw you to it...
This is why it is important to be clear about our intentions, or to clear any blocks or negative energy within us, so that our intentions come from our soul energy, rather than from our mind...
If we are connected to consciousness and to truth, from whence all thought arises, then whatever our energy moves towards will be for our highest good, rather than from any desires that are based in insecurity or the need to believe we are something.... Or motivated by the need to define ourselves in any way...
And so it seems, that my intention lead us to return a year later to the same park, and to take part in the 10k as I had said we would....
Trent Park is a magical beautiful place... We ran three miles to warm up, collected our numbers, and the ran around and about with a big group of other 10kers....
It was a spectacular route on this summer solstice day...
Anadi took photos, which he enjoys doing... I am collecting images and interviews for my next book 'Encounters on the run', and each race opens a new portal into a group of people; community spirit of the run, people joining together to run, but more than that , people joining on the run... The run being the energy that connects us, and inspires us to stretch and then letting the running take us where it will...
I met Alan the race director and Alison, a member of the committee, and I entered another world, another community....
A week ago we were in Corfu and the arrows on the route directing our course, were red ones, today they were white...
A week ago we arrived to see the people gathering to make the race happen in Corfu town, this week Trent park... And I see how we are all united in our desire to work together, to be together, to create something together, to run together....
I recognised today that something is deeply healed within me.... At last it feels that I can truly 'see what comes out', as the result of all my training, rather than set myself a level to attain, below which I deem myself 'not good enough...'
I also recognise that I am living more wholly, more fully, doing everything...! And loving it...
I have recognised over the past few weeks that I am very fit and healthy too, but not particularly race fast... I reckoned on reflecting before I raced, that I could run a road 10k in around 45 minutes at the moment - I am usually a very accurate judge of what I am worth...
And running on heart rate, means I can flow, and allow what is within me to come out ....
It was a lovely course, cross country through lovely woodland and over grassland and it was good underfoot .
I felt flowing and relaxed and finished the race in 46 minutes 31 seconds...
At the prize giving I discovered that I am a 'super vet...'
Because I was awarded first place in that category!
