Cake Of Love...
Anadi and I are back in 'Calypso' in Corfu... Dwight and Angela's bar...
It feels like we are time travellers - that the three months in between our last visit are floating around on their own... We could have come here for coffee only yesterday...
To hang out, Anadi to work, me write my blog just like we are doing now, just like we did every day in May and half of June...
And suddenly in the blink of an eye it is September....
The bar shows the sign of a summer of fun... The cushions are faded, the arms of the chairs have the paint now worn off...
Many people have sat here, enjoying a summer soaking up Sambukas and sparkling sun and seasonal specialness by this beautiful sea....
Anadi and Dwight are looking at the athlete management system that Anadi has created on iMediaLibrary Sports because Dwight is joining the iMedia team and travelling with it to South Africa, the place of his birth and nation of sports people...
A nation where when sport is going well, the nations wellbeing rises...
Dwight reflects this in his own being... Sport is deep within his soul, it is his passion and echoes the sentiment of his country... That when he is playing a lot of sport, everything else in his life works better...
While we are on this planet, we are in a body and looking after it, listening to it, becoming conscious of its unique needs, understanding its vibration leads us to deeper answers about ourself...
The body holds the wisdom, the body also holds pain from the past...
If we do not release the pain as it occurs, if when we feel something as a child and we are not permitted to express it, then it can get stuck, and instead of a clear stream we adapt and our energy becomes fractured and stuck...
The body takes note of everything, and always presents its bill...
If we listen we can clear any stuck energy from the past...
We can learn how to be free to live fully in this moment....
Moving the body allows the energy to move
Starting to move, even gently, can access where the energy is stuck and stagnant...
It can be an obvious way to open ourselves to freedom....
Anadi's and my body however have not moved much in the last 24 hours!
We arrived at Gatwick last night, and by the time all emails and my blog was finished it was 1.30am in the morning
We chatted a bit in bed too, which meant we ended up sleeping for just two hours before getting to departures to fly here.
Today has been a day of cake!
Cake of love...
I said to Anadi that cake given and received with love has no calories at all... It is simply the energy of love.
We had a delicious lunch in Νάουσα (Κέρκυρα) - Εστιατόριο / Ταβέρνα, where our friend Giorgo brought us profiteroles on the house... 'It is my favourite' he said...
They were delicious...
'No calories if it's been given to us' I laughed and Anadi agreed... And emphasised again that 'Cake of love' has no calories...'
We then wandered into Calypso for coffee... And as we sat here working together, Alexi, Dwight's eleven year son appeared with complimentary Nutella donuts for us...
'No calories...' I reiterated laughing again...
Food is so much more than calories and physical energy...
It is about connection, love, sharing together, being together... It is about receiving and giving...
It felt good to accept the gifts of delicious cake....
We have been welcomed back with love to this beautiful island sparkling in the Ionian sea.....
