England Is So Green...
In the sky....
Six hours ago we were swimming in the Ionian Sea...
As we clambered up the stony slope, and made our way to the edge of the beach to rinse off and wash under the cold shower, the old lady arrived for her routine...
First plunging into the sea to swim and then on to the pebbles for her running and jumping.
The morning activity of Ipsos was getting underway....
And now it will be afternoon there, and we have travelled back in time. We are descending into Gatwick, where, the pilot has assured us it is raining...
I like variety and I love the UK...
I have however asked Amy to send me some running tights and a long sleeved top to where we are staying in London...
Variety is fine if we are prepared for the weather...!
My hair is still a bit damp from the sea, and now we are about to walk out into the rain...
Later...
England is so green...
Even though it is only a short time since we were here, it is always a delight to see the green fields and trees, now just starting to turn into the autumn golds, browns, reds...
By the time we had driven for awhile on the M25, Corfu seemed a distance dream...
I have discovered that travelling as we do challenges time and place, and disorientates in wonderful ways...
And yet the dialogues in our lives continue...
It doesn't matter where we are, or what time it is... Technology has allowed us to experience actually, what is going on invisibly anyway...
The ongoing conversations and connections...
Before heading onto the M25, we stopped off at our virtual address to pick up our mail... It is in a place called the Beehive, which was the original Gatwick airport control tower...
We stayed awhile checking emails and doing anything that needed to be done; as well as chatting with Linda and Sarah who are the managers there...
And then we drove until we could find somewhere to stop and to eat some lunch....
As we arrived in North London the sky was streaking across suburbia, painting a picture full of nostalgic notions... Autumn arriving, the days shortening... Memories rising and falling because we may know there is only now, we may live mainly in the now...
But then this human journey tugs at us, reminding, reconnecting, rekindling... And so we let go again and again and again, in learning to live and let live...
And to love where we are in the here and in the now....
