Champagne Tea...
Yesterday Anadi and I were invited to our new friend, Peter's garden party... He has two a year he tells us, Halloween and May; but this year his party is on November 3rd, the day after we leave...
He suggested in that case, that we come for a visit to his villa another afternoon.
'You can take a couple of hours off' he said, 'I'll send the Mercedes to collect you...
I have the best champagnes... I keep the same as the queen drinks'.
Peter did mention the name, but as I am not familiar with champagnes, I didn't recognise it, and now I have forgotten it... ! But it was a 'white label something...'
'And' he continued 'I have even better - the black label...'
Peter befriended me ten days ago... He stopped me on my way to the loo...
Engaged me in conversation, admired my 'form', asked if I was a rock climber...'You have the body for one', he said..
I told him that I certainly don't have the temperament!
He has climbed many mountains in his life, both actual, up to 6000m, and metaphorical... 'I drink now' he said, 'it's what I do'...
He assured me he wasn't 'hitting' on me....
And as the days have passed, the conversation has continued; yesterday he included Anadi...
And now we have an invitation to a champagne tea....!
Saturday...
Anadi is streaming the largest private schools rugby tournament in the world this weekend... He set up yesterday, and the matches are being played today and Sunday...
This has meant that he has needed to get to his 'office' - the terrace at the Grand - early...!
And so I have been doing my own thing in the mornings... My strength, conditioning and stretching routine (it's back in my life, after being absent for longer than I care to admit to!) running, shopping in the supermarket for exciting things like milk and water and insect repellent, going to the re cycling... Just milling about.
And then meeting Anadi later to have lunch, write my blog....
I've liked it...
I set off this morning on my loop to Hondoq and back along the cliffs...
Body wanted to run today; and so I planned a few intervals... I was, however, wary of my foot reacting like it did last week....
And so I just ran 10 x 100 metres with a walk, jog recovery...
My hip mobility is better than I can remember in years, and my running feels like it used to,...
I am wondering if this increased range of movement, especially when running fast, is what affected the foot...?
So I am being aware ....
Yesterday as I walked the loop, and took my private spa like, skinny dip in the ocean, I asked for inner guidance...
'Dont try too hard' I was counselled by my higher self...
And so today I took this advice...
I am slowly slowly healing the restriction in the left side of my body, and it is a 'total process...'
As I free myself from my inner restrictions, my body frees up... As I free my body up, I feel the clearing of my 'stuff' within....
And sometimes the process is too fast, and so my body gets a block, like last weekend...
And there is a pause...
'Softly softly catchee monkey'
So often in our western world we are in a hurry to 'get there', I have been this way for sure! Especially showing up within my running, which has been a place of learning for me always, a place to see myself and my 'stuff' as clear as day!
And so investigating my restrictions, my pain, my injuries has guided me to see the deeper restrictions within...
And so the journey continues....
When I returned I met Tony from Gleneagels bar - Anadi's Gran's old friend - who we are renting our apartment from...
'Been swimming?' He enquired, smiling eyes, head on one side, looking at my dripping, sweaty, body...
'No just running' I laughed...
