Six Miles High...
Sun shining above the clouds and I am six miles high...
We have had a very enjoyable day already...
A planned 'shopping trip' - an unusual pastime for me - meant that I put our alarm on even earlier, so at 4.40am the familiar tone of Deva Premal chanting 'Ommmm' - the start of the Gayatri mantra - had me leaping up and out of bed...
'Lights out' had only been four hours earlier - yesterday was a packed, but fulfilling day...
Starting with my grass verge run around the airport, Anadi and I had breakfast and then hailed a cab to take us the short journey to our 'address', which is in 'The Beehive', the original Gatwick airport....
To have a bank account in the UK we need an address - and the Beehive also provides office space when we need...
So yesterday was a day at the office!
Anadi met with Richard his British sales manager and Dwight....
Dwight had flown in from Corfu and is setting off for South Africa tomorrow to show Imedialibrary off there....
I spent the day meeting with clients, which I loved...
Dwight, Anadi and I had dinner together and so I didn't start emails and blogging until 9.30pm....
And now I am on the plane having had a successful shopping trip...!
Later...
I am sitting in our apartment in Club La Santa Lanzarote; the sky has dipped from inky blue black, with an orange ring above the sea, to total darkness....
Earlier, we drove through the black volcanic landscape, with red mountains rinsing out of the sea...
'It looks very tolkienesque' we both agree....
Since then, we have eaten lunch and wandered around the complex..
I ran one lap of the track but the travel and small amount of sleep over the past two days were evident, and waking refreshed to run felt more appealing....
So I stopped, and we looked at the sky, and then came back here...
Our new home.
