Our Centre Of Passion...
My body requested an easy run, walk type of training today...
I was up earlier than Anadi... He had not come to bed till 2am because he had been attending a 'geeky type' seminar online....
I had done my exercises, looked at my emails and diddled and daddled with this and that on my 'things to do list', when he appeared for a morning cup of tea and a chat...
He had a Skype call booked with Dwight, who is in South Africa showing imedialibrarysports off to many interested people; with lots going on, they had planned a catch up...
And so I headed off...
I meandered across the track, stopping to enter the 5k scheduled for tomorrow - then jogged down the road for a mile or so... I was attracted by activity in the distance and the sound of music....
I made my way up a sandy track to where cars were arriving and a 'Red Bull' tent had been erected...
Folk were sitting on rocks watching the sea, the wild, wild sea...
I had no camera to capture the huge waves... Arching up and crashing down, the inside of them shimmering turquoise blue...
The wind was strong today and I reflected how good this must be for a surfing competition - and how tough it can be in a running or triathlon race when it is going 'the wrong way'!
'Ha' - I laughed inwardly - How attached we can get to the wind blowing in our favour, rather than 'going with the flow'....
I can remember the last sub 3 hour marathon I ran... Nearly twelve years ago now, April 2004...
All of the races leading up to the marathon were windy, and slowed my times...
And that is just the way it was...
And then marathon day was perfect, the wind at my back...!
But... I do have a query too; what part of me was programmed to be running into the wind... What part of me experienced things 'seeming' to be going against me in the 'run up', even when I had put in all the hard work...
The shaman philosophy states that we are connected to the whole of the universe, and so it is our collective energy that is effecting the weather; the rain, the sunshine, the wind and the snow... And that by harmonising our thoughts and taking responsibility for our every thought, word, deed - our every breath - we can contribute to healing our planet...
And so once again I am reminded to stay present, to notice what is occurring and inquire into what this reflects within me; to take responsibility for my impact on the planet; whilst letting go of any ego attachment to outcome and ultimate destination...
Our journeying is where our presence is... Where we are going is not of importance other than to experience our human journey to its fullest and recognise that it gives us the opportunity to winkle out our tensions and attachments...!
Later...
I have bought some orange shorts!
Who would have ever thought it?
I notice that this year's sporty colour seems to be orange... Everywhere I look, there is a high percentage of us dressed in this colour...
This afternoon I felt like going on a 'little outing', as I had been 'on my computer' for awhile and needed a break...
My 'shopping therapy' consisted of buying two delicious 'energy cakes' from the deli, which I brought back for Anadi and I to have with coffee... Two bright holographic postcards... One of the sea, the rocks, a boat and a sea bird... and one of a beautiful orange bird from Lanzarote....
And then I purchased my pair of orange shorts...!
Orange - the colour of the second chakra... I hesitated when lifting them off the rail... But my intuition said 'buy them, they are good energy for you... Buy them and enjoy them...'
The Sacral Chakra is our centre of passion and pleasure, sensuality and intimacy, located in the pelvic area; so wearing orange shorts fits perfectly...
The gift of this chakra is experiencing our lives through feelings and sensations; and the energy allows us to let go and to feel transformation occurring within our bodies.
It allows us to experience this moment as it is, in its own totality...
So orange shorts are the way to go...!
