Fly High...
Very fittingly and unwittingly the lyrics at the end of the race I ran - and filmed as I ran - were thus
'You're going to go far, you're going to fly high, you're never going to die, they're going to love you...'
Inspiring lyrics for us all...
None of us are going to die, our soul is eternal and so we will all fly high...
These lyrics are for us all...
For me they resonated as I heard them seeing me cross a finish line, because the place of expression where I discover my human fragility, my expectations, and projections, my attachments, is in the running race...
And so rather than hearing these lyrics as a confirmation that I am going to run fast, be 'something' / 'somebody' instead I heard them as a message to everyone, to fly high, to know there is no death and to remind us to all live in love...
If we knew we were going to be loved, there would be no limit to our flying, no fear of what people would think, or say...
And so it all comes back to love really and truly...
The essential message we need to be given as we are born into a human body, is
'They're going to love you, you're going to go far, you're going to fly high, you're never going to die...'
And off we go to live this earthly journey in love....
And if this message wasn't given to us, then we can now give it to ourselves... We can heal our inner child; little us can be reminded that we are loved and safe and that we do not have to earn love...
We are here to fly high...
I headed off alone today for a run over the the hills; Anadi felt a bit lack lustre regarding the thought of running, and he wanted to get on with things, so off I went...
As I ran up the hill, up and up and up... A bit like a tortoise I felt, uphill into the wind, with the race from yesterday still in my legs, when Gary who I followed the whole way round yesterday appeared beside me on his bike...!
Again, I wondered at the energetic link, that of all the hundreds of people here at La Santa, zooming about on bikes and going hither and thither to various activities, at that exact moment Gary and I were on the same stretch of Tarmac out of La Santa heading to the hills....
He zoomed off, and there was a magnificent shot ( if I'd had my camera!) of him cresting the top of the hill and being silhouetted, on the brow...
I continued to crawl along, turning into the dusty tracks at Soo, and on I went... Relaxed, enjoying, nothing much going on, just one step after the other....
That's all running - and life - is, setting off and arriving back, many steps later...
Later...
And enjoying coffee and cake... !
Running and life are about sitting and enjoying coffee and cake with Anadi too...
