'Home Is Where Our Heart Is...'
The morning was fresh and bright, like a promising English summer morn...
Anadi ran with me today, and we looped around seven miles of sunny, sandy, hilly beauty...
At one point a whole host of mountain bikers came en masse towards us up a hill...
'Looking good' someone one called...
And then there was Gary, who I had followed round the race on Saturday, and met on the road whilst I was running yesterday... There he was again... 'Hello Julia..'
And then they were gone, in a cloud of volcanic dusty earth and we ran on down the hill...
The beautiful Zoe Laughton is now the local supplier in Eastbourne of my books 'Girlfriend for a year', and 'Running to Learn'...
I love it that I have someone stocking and selling, who comes from Eastbourne...
Local writer, local supplier...
I realise am writing as if Eastbourne is still my home...!
But in many ways it is, 'home is where your heart is', and my heart is still with my many friends in Eastbourne...
My heart is also with my new friends all over the globe... In Corfu and Gozo, in St Lucia and in Thailand, in Bubion in the mountains of Spain...
The lands themselves are beautiful and diverse, an energy of their own...
But the friends that live there, are where the heart connections lie...
And now with technology we can honour the love through the written word, using pictures and music and videos...
We are all connected all the time, we are all one, reflections of one another...
But as we are experiencing life on this physical plane, technology brings with it the ability to see the connections graphically and magically, minute by minute...
Heart connections all over the world.
Love's healing energy all over the world...
As we learn to love ourselves, our thoughts and our actions will be coming from this place, and we make a difference by being the difference.
So the book I started writing in Eastbourne is with Zoe in Eastbourne...!
She has lots of them in her home now... You can connect with her directly, and she may well give you a special price...!
Zoe's website is fabulous... I have a dress that Anadi bought me for my birthday from her; and for my launch in Brighton in January - and my signing party in Eastbourne in February - I will be wearing clothes from 'Style by Zoe' !
Later...
I have just enjoyed a coffee which rather resembled a delicious desert...
Our waitress insisted I try the delicacy of the island.... 'It is a special cream from the canaries that people like to enjoy in their coffee', she said 'perhaps you need to discover it'!
It was a very delicious discovery indeed...
More like a sweet treat than my usual strong cortado, but I enjoyed the new experience...
And now I am off to the gym, and for a sports massage...
My perfect life...
Three years ago today, Anadi and I spoke on the phone for the first time...
It was in order for us to make arrangements for me to travel to his home in London, so that Anadi might film me for his SoundsOrange website on how my running was a meditation on the move...
Little did we know that day, that our future was to be living and travelling the globe together...
Our life a meditation on the move!
