Technology Rocks...
'Technology rocks man'... Anadi's words...
I have been on the phone to Janai's mum in St Lucia; she has just picked up some money for his new pair of running shoes...
As she called me, an email had just dropped into my 'in box' saying 'your money has been picked up the receiver'.
We had much excited chat, and she sent love to us, and we sent love to Janai and her...
When I hung up, I said to Anadi...
'Its so exciting and brilliant isn't it'?
Which prompted the...
'Technology rocks man'.
Today has been a 'busy day at the office'.... I have been on the phone and FaceTime to three clients in different parts of Sussex...
And Anadi has Dwight giving a big presentation about imedialibrarysports in South Africa; Richard in a meeting in Sussex... And a client with his first big broadcast happening in Birmingham...
And here we are in Lanzarote, with the sun sinking down behind the hills...
We have just come back from a coffee and cake outing...
'Let's not take any work with us', Anadi said... 'Lets just have coffee, and then carry on working when we get back...'
I ended up having a very meditative lone coffee...!
As we arrived Ross, Imedialibrarysport's in house sports scientist, texted Anadi to say he was ready for the call...
'Oh no, I'd forgotten about the call', Anadi said... 'I'm sorry beautiful'.
And he went outside to have the 'phone meeting' with Ross..
In truth it was a very peaceful thing, that I had no work with me, or any possibility of doing anything, other than eating cake and drinking coffee and just being...
A 'coffee meditation' is a very wonderful thing indeed.
We are now just off to the gym...
I love going to the gym at the end of the day... It is a big expansive 'set up', and there are never many people there...
The mats for stretching are huge and spacious too, so if we feel like it, lots of lying down, looking like exercising, can happen...!
That might be me today...
We ran nine miles this morning, and my legs could feel the rigours of the 300 metre repetitions I did yesterday...
My physiological make up means that faster running takes a lot more out of me, in a much shorter time than running for hour after hour does...!
And this is my journey... To stretch and strive to run faster, whilst listening to my body's needs; inching it out if it's comfort zone without destroying myself...
This is the same for us all of course...
'Stretch me but don't break me...'
