A Vista Of Wonder And Wow...!
Last night the bus from Bilbao to San Sebastián took awhile to arrive, and the journey was two hours as we had to drop some folk off at the airport before making out way to the City Centre...
We sat in the darkness and agreed it was fun to 'hang out' with no chance of doing any work, and just chat and be with each other...
We stepped out into a rainy tree lined street, with leaves blowing around our feet... I looked up at a bright light of a huge moon, full of powerful energy, encouraging us deeper into our next phase, more harmony within our relationships, and of course with emphasis on the one with ourself...
If there is no enemy within, there is no enemy without...
The huge ball of translucent beauty reminded me of this, as we clambered into a cab... Deepening the love with ourselves transforms everything exponentially, minute by minute...
We arrived five minutes after the restaurant had closed at 10.35; 'is there anywhere to eat outside?' We asked, 'no everything is closed now' she said...
Oh well.. Thank goodness for the bag of nuts in my bag, and the mini bar which was well stocked with drinks, but not a morsel of food...!
Who needs more than nuts and G and T, so we went to sleep quickly after this 'supper of champions', and woke late, to a beautiful autumnal day, and no idea where we were...
I suggested a coffee and croissant in the cafe next door before an explorative run...
And what a run! The first investigation revealed a running track just across the road....
And then we ran down the street, turned right to run alongside the river, which led to the sea....
It was an incredible surreal experience to run through this beautiful City, with its expansive bright light about its being, and suddenly for the City to end....
'We've reached the end of the world' I exclaimed to Anadi...
'You can see why people in the past thought the world was flat' he laughed...
Suddenly there were waves coming up where the river was flowing into the sea...
The two bodies of water going in different directions!
And then we reached the edge of the world itself, and the waves were crashing on the rocks and the spray rising magnificently....
I laughed in delight... While the people of San Sebastián, wrapped up in coats and scarfs making their way to wherever they were going, walked on by, this sight a daily occurrence for them...
For Anadi and I it was a vista of wonder and wow!
It reminded me that keeping our eyes open always for 'wonder and wow', even in what we see every day, turns the ordinary into the extraordinary in every moment....
