Stillness In Motion...
Anadi has been applying for his visa for Australia today...
So that he can join me on our adventure to Perth for me to run in the Masters world Champs late next year...
He has to apply for a 'sub class 600' where they will 'assess his character...!'
In his defence on the form, he has written down that he was sentenced to four and a half years over twenty years ago for being knowingly concerned in the importation of a controlled class B drug... And that he was released about 27 months for 'good behaviour'...!
We have been laughing a lot this morning, and some nice people in visa agencies and the Australian department of immigration and border protection have been helping him too...
So que sera sera...
If he cracks Australia we are hoping America might let him in too...
If not, it looks like I will be travelling half the globe alone...!
This morning the air was warmer earlier than usual... The flashing temperature gauge already reading 14 degrees...
We ate our breakfast and headed out along the sunny seafront...
Anadi did my warm up with me...
We ran past my 'sponsored busker'... The standing man, who mainly stands, sometimes he sells tissues...
Once I passed and he was in full song, music playing, jiving as he sang...
I had started to wonder if I had actually dreamed this up...
But I kept sponsoring him, and he started to greet us each day...
'Do you think I imagined it?' I said to Anadi one day; the story of him singing seemed unlikely!
And then a couple of days ago, he was in action again... His lovely sound filling the underpass.. He greeted us on his microphone, speaking to us in Spanish..
We waved and smiled, and I did a little bit of a dance run...
Today was a tissue selling day for him, and a strides on the sand day of me....
We went onto the beach and Anadi sat on the sand to watch me.
A huge expanse of beach, firm sand, sun.... My idea of total heaven on earth.
And my body is responding to the training regime I have been giving it.
My gluts feel stronger, and my hips are freeing up, and even though my left one is a little slower than the right, I can feel huge improvement in my form...
And so I ran some reps... First up the beach, slightly uphill and into the wind...
And then along the shore.
I loved it.
Stillness in motion
My own feeling of flying on land today...
Spirit free.
