A Land Of dance....
'Someone is smoking some very good pot' Anadi said as we sat enjoying our coffee outside...
'Can you smell it?' I could, it was nice, I agreed....
Barcelona is waking up after it's night of fun...
The Spanish do not really start to party until 2am...
We had finished our party by then...
I like waking up feeling ready to run on New Year's Day...
This has been my way all my life; not so Anadi... Our paths would never have crossed years ago...
Energy is such a fascinating thing, as to where we are, and who we are with at various points in our life...
I have a theme of meeting some of the men I have shared the journey of life with, when they have reached a more sporty, healthy stages in their life!
This is why I need an alter ego, as I have never lived that party aspect of me out, apart from the occasional drunken escapade that didn't encourage me to want to repeat it for at least six months...
But as I have an alter ego in the shape of Harry - I re connected with him on the plane on Wednesday - who is happily living it out for me; all is well...
Anadi and I made our way on foot through the quiet city, cloudy and still... There were a few couples and groups of people out for a walk. We ran down to the sea and the numbers of people were growing.
A swimming event was about to happen, runners were running about, and the first day of the year was shaping its shape.
We made our way along the seashore on the promenade... Another urban seaside... I seem to be drawn to them.
We ran ten miles and arrived back at the swim race just as it had finished, and crowds of swimmers were filing up the beach.
The music was playing and my body danced me amongst the gathering...
A few people smiled, and a child danced along with me in his father's arms...
I was the only dancer, but maybe others were dancing inside themselves.
I have never been inhibited to dance in the street, and I remember arriving once on the Caribbean island, Grand Caymen...
I emerged from the airport and there was a party atmosphere, music, bbq-ing and dancing in the street.....
I had come home, arriving to a land of dance...
I wonder what our world would be like if we all gave it a bit of a shimmy and a shake on the outside, when we felt like it on the inside....
