Gozo Cliff Top Magic
Jane and I sat high up on the cliff top, the sea blue with white horses dancing on it below.
We were on Gozo island...
We sat cross legged opposite one another and chanted the seven main chakra energy centres in the body...
After the echoes of the crown chakra sound had faded away, we sat in silence with the sun setting...
A chilly edge to the air.
And then we opened our voices again, and sung in joyous unison until we reached the base chakra where we sat in silence again...
When we opened our eyes, we smiled at one another, and held hands, delighted by the experience of freedom and stillness...
'We are on a tiny island in the sea' I said, 'and no one really knows where we are'
We sat for a bit longer; our noses, cheeks and fingers growing colder..
'I think I can see Jamie on the beach', Jane said, as we stood up unravelling our crossed legs and started on our way down the grassy rocky stony slope, to Jamie, my nineteen year old nephew, who had been drawing the beach and the people on it in his artist's pad..
We stood in a cluster of three, looking at his pencil people, who had come alive through his hand on the page...
'There is the usual group of a Gozotan men' he said pointing to the bench he had put in the foreground with the men lounging upon it...
'Wherever we go here', he continued, in way of explanation to Jane, 'we find groups of men just sitting or standing about...'
Jane and I had come straight from a healing lunchtime spent with Gerhard who is an intuitive masseur... His hands have heat and energy emanating from them, and his being is one of intuition and sensitivity.
I had sat on his balcony while Jane had her massage... I enjoyed the dark Godiva chocolate that she had brought me as a gift, with sea salt in it... It seemed at that moment to be the most delicious chocolate I had ever eaten.
I sat in the sun in a lucid dream state...
I can remember none of it now, but it felt to be a space of healing, stillness...
The sea, Gozo, the sun, nothing to do
No desire to do anything or be anywhere other than where I was...
On this balcony in the sun....
