The Vision Is Manifesting...
Another sunny bright May morning... I stepped out into the beautiful walled garden of 'The Stables' where we are staying at the moment... I ran a circuit of the park, before starting a day of being with people from 9am till 9pm... Fabulous people who I am looking forward to connecting with and being with... It doesn't however leave a lot of time to write...
So this might be it... A post run, half naked, wrapped in a too small towel blog...!
I kept a diary when I was a teenager, I believe I began it when I was thirteen and wrote it every single day until I was about twenty one... These diaries became quite heavy to carry about when I moved house...
Nomadic from the beginning, even in the past my belongings fitted into a few bin liners, I would gather them up and head off again... The diaries were an added thing to carry and so they had to go....
And so, a blog/diary is a natural extension of how I began...
My first session was on Skype today and so Anadi had to go...! Suddenly remembering he was needed on standby by Richard who was live streaming a tennis event, he realised he needed Internet too...
He tells me he solved this, by sitting outside the 'not yet open' Larder... Our coffee house of choice...
What a magical world we live in... Connected and in touch through the airwaves, sitting on the green at Winchmore Hill, outside a cafe early on a May morn, our technological world allowing for human experience to deepen and expand...
I had meetings today at Victoria, then Sloane square, and my day concluded meeting Athena Jane on the Southbank... She had just completed 'Day one' of her wonderful new art project... She has been awarded funding from the heritage lottery to create this piece of work...
She now has a year long journey ahead of her, culminating in an installation at the Guildhall Art Gallery next spring called 'Echoes across the century'... Her work will reflect a response to World War 1, illuminating the hidden heritage of sixteen livery companies....
Over the coming twelve months, Jane will be creating art herself, as well as working with children from eleven schools, chosen to create with Jane a 'walk through experience' that will be a reflection of memories and traces from the First World War...
It felt entirely natural to be together celebrating her first day... The months of preparation to attain the funding, and the meetings spent engaging the livery companies now the distant past....
She has set off on this amazing adventure....
The vision is manifesting in the material world!
