A Blogette
There is a celebratory air about us, tables are laid and Christmas music is playing. The sun is setting on the azure blue sea...
In Spain Christmas is celebrated this evening and we are off to a local restaurant where live music will be playing, food will be a' plenty and drink a' flowing,,,
I took a Christmas Eve dip this morning in that bright blue sea, and if the truth be told haven't completely warmed up all day long! But it was well worth it... Anadi and I went for a pre breakfast walk, all along the beach and then up long sloping sandy brown steps we climbed, that lead us to a cross on the top of a rock...
I stood on the top celebrating life and love and another year nearly passed...
And then we made our way down to another beach below... It had been raked sandy smooth flat. I took off my shoes and ran along in my swimming costume and my shorts...
A group of ladies on the promenade, all wrapped up in coats and scarves called to me... 'Frío frío, mucho frío'! I laughed and waved, 'no estoy frío, soy inglés'! And of course, for us it is warm not cold, at about 22 degrees!
I ran for a bit and then I took off my shorts and waded into the sparkly sea - sparkly freezing cold, energising sea. It felt amazing, I dived under the water, immersed in my watery world - silent and silver azul, I said my prayer...
Show me truth, I don't mind how it comes, lead me, my inner voice, my heart - I am always ready to follow...
And then I surfaced and swam through the sunlight in the water, until the icy cold was freezing my face... And so I emerged, and the cold had made me dizzy and disorientated...
I sat in the rock, happy, glowing and in love with Anadi, with life, loving my Christmas time.
I heard clapping, my ladies were cheering raising their thumbs up and laughing.
I waved and laughed with them... 'Feliz Navidad...'
Feliz Navidad to you all....
